BELETWEIN (Horn Observer) Business community in Beletwein in Hiiraan region started to refuse to take the Somali Shillings on Sunday, rising new tensions, Onkod radio reports.

Al-Shabab banned the use of Somali Shilling, and this has forced the business people in vegetables and livestock products to refuse the Somali shillings, saying that they can not go with the Somali shillings back to the areas controlled by the Shabab.

Price  of the $ 100  was  2,800,000  but raised immediately to 4,000,000 Somali shillings, after a false cash of Somali shilling notes poured to the town of Beletwein.

The local Administration the ordered the business community that $ 100  be exchanged into original price of 2,800,000 Somali shillings and any one found charging more than the normal price should face tough legal actions, forcing many traders to close their shops.
