    Somalia Attends 22 World Petroleum Congress in Istanbul, Turkey

    MOGADISHU (Horn Observer) A Somali delegation led by deputy minister of Petroleum & mineral resources attended the 22 World Petroium Congress in Stanbul, Turkey, Somalia's Dalsan radio reported.

MOGADISHU (Horn Observer) A Somali delegation led by deputy minister of Petroleum & mineral resources attended the 22 World Petroium Congress in Stanbul, Turkey, Somalia's Dalsan radio reported.

Turkey hosted this year the World Petrolium Congress under the theme ''Bridges to Our Energy Future’’. The congress was attended by about 50 Energy ministers and high representatives of companies in the sector will be involved, according to a statement released by the congress.

Deputy Minister of of Petroleum and Mineral resources, Maxamud Cabdulqaadir Warsame,  who was leading a team of experts met with various separate meetings to various government representatives including Energy and Foreign ministers of Turkey.  The delegation separately met with delegation from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Azarbajan, America, Albania, Serbia and others as reported by Somalia’s Dalsan radio.


Its the first time Somalia officially joins permanent conference of the petroleum producing countries, which is due to be finalized on 13 July.
