Ethiopia cracks down media, arrests key oppisition figures amid protests
Addis Ababa -Ethiopia - The Ethiopian government has arrested the prominent Oromo activist Jawar Mohammed as well as journalists of Oromia Media Network (OMN), Yeroo media and ONN.

The major crackdown happened after the federal government shut down all internet connection in the early mornings of Tuesday. Oormia Media Network studios were also confiscated.
Sources also say top opposition leader Bekele Gerba has been arrested alongside other Oromo activists. OMN is one of the prominent media as reporting as Oromo people were mourning the killing of Hacaaluu Hundeessaa and massive crowd were planning to take his coffin to Ambo, according to requests by his family. There is news of protests and violence all around Oromia.
There is also anti-Oromo reaction from residents of Addis Ababa which led to the arrest of activist Eskinder Nega.
