MOGADISHU (Horn Observer) Galmudug and Southwest States of Somalia announced this week that they oppose the Mogadishu-based central government's position of neutrality towards the current diplomatic crisis of Saudi Arabia allies against the tiny Gulf nation of Qatar, officials said.

Unique Press Statements released by Galmudug and Southwest Administrations said the decision of neutrality by the Federal Government of Somalia in June 6th, this year was made "without much consideration and consultation with the Somali Federal Member States and the population it will affect.”

The statements are likely to stir political instability among the Galmudug and Southwest Administrations.

This is not the first defiance statement from one of the Somalia's competing federal states. Last month, Puntland issued a statement in which it backed the Saudi and UAE over Qatar, while opposing the government’s decision on the case.

Many people took to the social media citing the sovereignty of Somalia at stage over federal member states led by former warlords.

Saudi Arabia and UAE continue to meddle the Somalia’s internal affairs and more recently Saudi Alliance is believed to be backing a motion against the Prime Khaire’s government over its neutral decision on the Gulf Crisis
