    Leopard Wounds 7 People in Somalia's Lower Shabelle region

    MOGADISHU (Horn Observer) A Leopard that wounded at least 7 people after attacking a village in Lower Shabelle region, was finally killed, officials said.

MOGADISHU (Horn Observer) A Leopard that wounded at least 7 people after attacking a village in Lower Shabelle region, was finally killed, officials said.

Local officials said that among those wounded  at Caanoole village in Wanlaweyn district of Lower Shabelle region include children.

"7 people among them 2 children were wounded by the Leopard ” Abdifitah Haji Abdulle, Deputy commissioner of Lower Shabelle region told the State media.

The official also underlined the Leopard  terrorized the village before being shot by the security forces.

Images of the Leopard  being dragged into the streets poured into the social media.


The attack of the Leopard  symbolizes the return of the wildlife and peace in the area.

The Somali wildlife fled into neighboring countries following decades of civil unrest and droughts in Somalia.
