MOGADISHU, Somalia (Horn Observer) Somalia delegation led by deputy prime minister has on Monday morning flew to Netherland, where they will be attending the Somalia-Kenya maritime case at the International Court of Justice, officials said.

Mahad Guled, Deputy prime minister of Somalia who led the delegation said that they will continue to struggle for the rights of Somalia and its people and confident that Somalia will win the case.

"Today, we are travelling to Hague to participate in the oral proceedings at ICJ, Somalia has a high hope and will try its best,” Mahdi Guled, deputy prime minister accompanied by Justice minister and other government officials told reporters in Mogadishu.

The Court is to hold public hearings from Monday 15 March 2021.

Kenya has several times delayed the hearing of the maritime case, due to what observers say,  "its lack of confidence to win the case."
