MOGADISHU (HORN OBSERVER) - Several main roads in the Somali capital have today been closed as the government deployed paramilitary forces near the entrance of the parliament.
Locals confirmed the presence of Gorgor, Haram-Ad and NISA soldiers number of checkpoints mounted around the parliament ahead of today's session.

Security sources confirmed that the forces are likely to be intended to block the 15 MPs who were suspended last week by speaker Mohamed Mursal from the parliament sessions.

The Somali government has not commented on the deployment of the forces.

There are fears that pro-government MPs could pass a vote to extend the term of President Mohamed Farmaajo.

The development comes amid talks between the federal government and its member states, failed to take place in spite of International community efforts to convince sides to come together.
