MOGADISHU, Somalia (Horn Observer) Somalia on Wednesday celebrated the World Nurses day to honor the Somali nurses are at the forefront of fighting the Covid19 pandemic

With this year’s theme: A Voice to Lead-A Vision for Future Healthcare, the Ministry of Health and Social care of Somalia praised the nurses for their unwavering and tireless work in combating the Covid19.

"We are all grateful to the Nurses, because they are central to the health service providers, and the Nurses are always at the forefront of fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.” The Ministry of Health said in a statement posted on facebook.

As of Tuesday results of COVID-19 tests were 1787 with 71 new positive cases making the total confirmed cases so far to 14,486, 753 deaths and 6,325 recoveries.
