    Somali businessman kidnapped in South Africa

    Johannesburg, South Africa - (Horn Observer) Somali businessman was reportedly kidnapped in the South African capital in Johannesburg, the latest in a string of attacks against the Somalis in South Africa.

Johannesburg, South Africa - (Horn Observer) Somali businessman was reportedly kidnapped in the South African capital in Johannesburg, the latest in a string of attacks against the Somalis in South Africa.

Sources reveal that the man who was identified as Abdiwahid Moalim Hassan, was kidnapped by armed gunmen at Alexandra neighborhood in Johannesburg and took him to unknown location.

The kidnap victim Mr. Hassan was one of the founders of Salahuddin Company who owns several businesses in several South African towns.

Police in South Africa said that they are searching for the victim and secure his release.

In a separate incident, A Somali citizen Abdifiatah Aweys Ahmed was killed on a knife attack last week. The killers immediately fled the scene. Late Ahmed was a running a business he owns during the attack.


The Attack against the Somali citizens in South Africa recently increased, where many believe the attacks are related to Xenophobia.
