MOGADISHU, Somalia July 19 (Horn Observer) Two Somali nationals were killed in two separate locations in South Africa in the past 24 hours, residents and relatives reported.

The victims  were identified as Nor Osman Nor who was killed near Johannesburg, the capital of South Africa, whereas the second victim who was named Mohamed Hussein Ga’al was killed in a town that locates the border between South Africa and Mozambique.

The motive of the killing was  not immediately known. The Somalis and other African nationals have been routinely targeted by violence related to xenophobia.

More than 10 Somalis were killed in South Africa in the past 6 months and its not clear if the Somalia government has addressed the safety of the Somali nationals with with their South African Counterparts.
