    Somalia: Former Mayor of Mogadishu Appointed as Senior political Adviser

    MOGADISHU, (Horn Observer) Somalia president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo appointed the former mayor of Mogadishu and a presidential candidate, Mohamoud Ahmed Nor as senior political advisor.

MOGADISHU, (Horn Observer) Somalia president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo appointed the former mayor of Mogadishu and a presidential candidate, Mohamoud Ahmed Nor as senior political advisor.

He was appointed in a presidential decree, the state media said.

Tarzan who was known for his opposition to  the former government led by Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud and was among a dozen more candidate who contested the presidential elections early February.

Its not clear if Mohamoud Ahmed Nor Tarzan will accept this appointment.  He is remembered to have rejected a cabinet position before.
