Somali PM hails community collaboration to restore security to Mogadishu
MOGADISHU (HORN OBSERVER) Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has hailed the collaboration between the community and security agencies during a tour of key Mogadishu road that was reopened following a recent directive by the Prime Minister.
Addressing reporters as he toured the Tarbuunka main road, the Prime Minister said reopening of this road after nearly ten years was an indication of the fruitful community– government collaboration in the security and stabilization of Mogadishu City, the country's capital.
"The community shared with us their commitment to work with security agencies who are always at the forefront of defending the lives and property of civilians. It is incumbent upon everyone to contribute to efforts to curb the evil acts of terrorists” said Roble.
The premier thanked security agencies, the Banadir regional administration, the business community and the local communities for the collaboration and commended them for living with the restrictions that were aimed at curtailing Al-Shabaab activities.
