Dear president Farmaajo, Though I have miss to congratulate you on your election victory on February 2017, not being among the thousands who were shocked your sudden triumph to the highest office of the country but with the millions who have relentlessly prayed and then protested after the election results are being tallied, what so ever, I am writing you this letter with deep fear, frustration and broken heart on Somalia's destination in the next couple of weeks.

Mr. president you have been elected in a country, where its capital city is surrounded by al-Shabaab for almost a decade not only that, but also a nation in which most of its important government institutions including your own villa Somalia, are protected by African mission in Somalia (AMISOM), a country with unbeaten record of both the most corrupted state on earth which also annually ranks the top poorest nation in the world.

In other hand, you have become a leader of a country were rule of law does no longer exist, with no even agreed and proper constitution to govern. Indeed, it’s a huge task to solve in such short term.

Mr. president here is what I wanted to remind you, this year marks 30 years since the last fully functioning government of our country collapsed and ousted its dictator, many Somalis have still different stand on what happen, some believe that the military regime had violated their basic rights and left no option but to carry the guns, others believed that traitors, greedy military juntas and politicians with mindset clannism had disobeyed the president and his blessed revolution. Certainly, it’s difficult to side any of them, but the fact remains that, our country lost his glory position throughout the world when our politics has been militarized which subjected into civil wars, chaos, famine and then a long-lasting political instability, Somalia entered its worst era, an era that the country was crumbling, Somali armed forces mimicked with the public, arms and military assets also ended in the hands of clan militia men who are fighting one another.

In relation to that, many Somalis have praised your manifesto speech at the parliament even more when you stated that you will become an elder, peace maker, a president who both respects and empowers the legitimate traditional leaders and moreover you have promised to lead and inclusive politics among all the stakeholders with no one left behind.

But soon later, after your inauguration everything had changed, you have denied your predecessors role on governance, your government intentionally endangered their life on beledwayen incident, not only that, you have also attacked wadajir opposition leader and then followed by the house of former president Abdi Qaybdid. A little while before you impose a house arrest on the current speaker of the parliament Mursal, together with your puppet prime minster you have attacked the legislature branch and forcefully overthrown and ousted speaker Jawaari in what apparently looked a bloodless coup.

Mr. president your government unliterally managed a controversial poll with even a blood, from south west to Galmudug and Hirshabeele; your preferred candidates won unanimously for the first round, not because of being the most appropriate choices among the other but simply with their perceived allegiance to the federal government. In Juballand when president Ahmed did the same election and score two third of the votes, your government denied the outcome and over months sanctioned Kismayo, and them deployed units of Somalia national troops into Gedo region to grapple over clan antagonism. Until a mother lost her five children in Garbahaarey standoff.

Mr. president with days left in your tenure, you have failed to deliver Somalia in a better place, your authoritarian style of leadership and power abuse is taking us back into the heydays of conflict, clan fragmentations, and apparently never-ending fight for power. Harmcad, Gor-Gor and even Xoogaga wadaniyiinta can never hold you in office when it’s the time to vacate. Swallow your intense and selfish desire on power, and accept to uphold peaceful, transparent and acceptable elections to all political stakeholders, before it’s’ too late to fight for your honor.

Yours sincerely
