Somali government Accuses UAE of trying to destabilize Somalia like Yemen and Librya – Official
The Minister of Information reiterated that the government and people of Somalia are shocked by the statement from the UAE, and urged the Somali people to know the plans of these foreign governments against their country.
"If you are not happy with the progress, we cannot make you happy killing ourselves, flee or be killed," Osman Abokor Dubbe Somalia information Minister told reporters in Mogadishu.
Several Somalia’s international partners and friends issued statements on with regard to the firing of the protestors with caution, but UAE statement angered Somalia authorities.
The relationship between UAE and Somali federal government has been deteriorating in recent years after Somalia closed UAE military training facility in Mogadishu.
