Witnesses said that the airstrikes hit villages including Elcade, Likooley , Laheley, Warburay, Burcaleen, Dhamase, Wargaduudo, Qulqul Shubaal, Balanbaal, Muudale, Abroone, Buusaar Cows Qurun and Darusalam in Gedo region.
Among the dead include a mother identified as Sahro Adan Warsane and her kid.
Gedo is a region that borders both Ethiopia and Kenya.
Residents in Gedo region have repeatedly suffered the airstrikes in recent months, accusing the Kenyan Defense forces for carrying out the indiscriminate attacks against the people in Gedo region.

Belet-Hawo, Somalia (Horn Observer) At least 2 civilians were reportedly killed and 7 others were wounded on Thursday, when military airplanes carried out an overnight airstrikes more than a dozen villages in Somalia's Gedo region.
