    GAROWE (HORN OBSERVER) - Puntland state president Said Abdullahi Deni has sacked military and commanders in his state days after the state's police chief was dismissed over unclear circumstances.

GAROWE (HORN OBSERVER) - Puntland state president Said Abdullahi Deni has sacked military and commanders in his state days after the state's police chief was dismissed over unclear circumstances.

In a presidential decree, Deni axed Nugal Regional Police Commander Mohamed Aden Jama and Puntland Maritime Police Force (PMPF) deputy director Ahmed Yusuf Ahmed.

The leader appointed General Abdulkadir Jama Dirir who has been the head of the presidential guard become the Bari regional police commandant.
According to the decree, Brigadier General Omar Abdi Elmi to takes charge as head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), of the Puntland Police Force.


Gen. Abdulkadir Jama Dirir who served as head of presidential was moved to Bari region as the police commandant.

Brigadier General Warsame Ahmed Shirwa now becomes the head of the Bosaso port police while Mohamud Silal Omar was tapped to be deputy of the Puntland Maritime Police Force (PMPF).
