Director of state run radio Mogadishu killed in suicide attack in Somalia's capital

Witnesses the attack took place near City restaurant in Boondheere district where Abdiaziz Mohamud Guled popularly known as Abdiaziz Afrika killed and his colleague Sharmarke Warsame left wounded when the attacker blew himself up at the journalists car.
Somali militant group Al-Shabab, which is Alqaeda’s Somalia’s affiliate claimed the responsibility for the attack, saying that it was revenge for a Shabab journalist Hassan Hanafi who was sentenced to death by a Somali military court
Abdiaziz Afrika presented Gungaar, a program which focused on countering violent extremism.
