Somalia car bombing kills 10, wounds 20 in Mogadishu

Witnesses said that a car loaded with explosives hit a convoy passing by near Mucasir school in Hodan distric. The area of the attack is now known as former Abdiqasim presidential palace.
"This is a tragedy. The explosion took place in front of Mucassar school at Hodan district in Mogadishu killing and injuring stidents and civilians near by” Dr. Abdulkadir Adan, chairman of Aamin Ambalance said on twitter.
Another Somali government official said that at least 13 students were wounded in the attack.
Somalia’s Alqaeda affiliate,
Al-Shabaab immediately claimed responsiblity for the attack saying it was a
suicide car bomb which targeted a convoy escorting "white officers”
travelling from General Gordon training camp, but their claim could not be
independently verified. There are other sources saying that AU convoy was targeted.
