Mogadishu, Somalia (Horn Observer) Somalia government on Monday reiterates its commitment to win the war against the Somali militant group Al-Shabab, amid the defeated and pushed the group out of several regions in central and southern regions of Somalia.

Somalia’s prime minister Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre who on Monday evening spoke at an event that was aimed to support the Somali army in Mogadishu’s Kaaraan said that "the government is commited to win and liberate all parts of the country”.

”Improved security within the capital Mogadishu was due to the cooperation between security officials and the citizens and added that the people of Somalia now have a historic opportunity to liberate their country.” Prime Minister Hamza added.

The historic speech follows a day after Somalia's National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) said on Monday that it has foiled a complex Shabab attack on Mogadishu's peace garden, a popular place for Mogadishu residents. NISA seized during the operation explosive vests and a Bajaj motorcycle intended for use in the attack.
