”Improved security within the capital Mogadishu was due to the cooperation between security officials and the citizens and added that the people of Somalia now have a historic opportunity to liberate their country.” Prime Minister Hamza added.
The historic speech follows a day after Somalia's National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) said on Monday that it has foiled a complex Shabab attack on Mogadishu's peace garden, a popular place for Mogadishu residents. NISA seized during the operation explosive vests and a Bajaj motorcycle intended for use in the attack.
