Somali Police detains 2 TV journalists in Mogadishu
Members of the police detained Farhan Baraale and Mohamed Dulmidiid from Five Somali TV while conducting interviews on Bajaaj (Tuktuk) drivers in Mogadishu, amid the ultimatum set for the Bajaaj drivers to work as A for one day and B for another day came into effect.
"The Journalists and their equipment were taken into custody” Five Somali TV said on its facebook pageand called for the authorities to release them.
Somali Journalists Syndicate (SJS) condemned the act and called for the authorities to unconditionally release the journalists.
Somalia journalists have been under increased pressure from the authorities and according to Somali Journalists Syndicate (SJS), two journalists were summoned by the Police and the Office of the attorney general in two weeks time with the purpose of creatingfear among the journalists to avoid future critical stories.

Somali Police detains 2 TV journalists in Mogadishu
Mogadishu, Somalia (Horn Observer) Somalia police in Mogadishu on Thursday morning detained two Somali Journalists working for the Five Somali TV, a local TV, while on duty, the latest in a series of violations against the press in Somalia.
