    Somalia to make a grand opening for the New Somali Embassy building in Pretoria, South Africa during Independence Week

    Pretoria, South Africa (Horn Observer) Somalia government is making a grand opening for the New embassy building bought the Somali embassy with the attendance of the Somalia's minister of foreign Affairs Abdisalam Ahmed Ali, officials said.

Somalia to hold a grand opening for the first Somali owned embassy premises in South Africa.
Pretoria, South Africa (Horn Observer) Somalia government is making a grand opening for the New embassy building bought the Somali embassy with the attendance of the Somalia's minister of foreign Affairs Abdisalam Ahmed Ali, officials said.
Speaking to the state media, Somalia’s ambassador to South Africa  Mohamed Sheikh Issak first congratulated the Somali people wherever they are in the world on Somalia’s Independence Day 1st July and hoped prosperous future for all Somalis.

Amb. Issak said that they are holding a grand opening for new embassy premises, which is the first embassy building owned by the Somalia with the attendance of Somalia’s foreign affairs minister Abdisalam Ahmed Ali.


Ever since, the Ambassador was appointed to the embassy, the ambassador along with the rest of the embassy officials tirelessly weighted in a buying an embassy building in collaboration with the Somali community in South Africa.

Somalis has vast businesses in South Africa and were subject to various degrees abuses including killings and robbery without any embassy to care.   

"Somalis now feel fully represented by their embassy and the opening of new embassy premises is a historic milestone and a reflection of our Ambassador's committment." Mohamed Bashir Sheikh Ali, Trade and Commercial Attache of the embassy said, "We are holding double celebrations, the independence day and the grand opening of the new embassy building at the same time."

Members of the community said with the appointment of the current ambassador and the rest of the embassy staff members restored the confidence of the community and the business community leading the community to partially pay funds to buy the embassy.
