MOGADISHU (HORN OBSERVER) - At least three people were killed and seven others injured when a suicide car bomb exploded outside custodial corps headquarters in ex-control Afgoye in the Somalia's capital Mogadishu.
Those injured are mainly civilians, according to Abdirahman Haji Aden, director of Amin Ambulance.
"So far, we know that three were killed and seven others were injured in the blast," Abdikadir said.
Witnesses said they heard a huge blast near the headquarter, which came days after the capital witnessed fierce fighting between Somali government forces and pro-opposition SNA soldiers.
Al-Shahab which is fighting to overthrow the internationally-backed government claimed responsibility for the latest attack through its media affiliates, saying its suicide squid targeted the base.
The militant group said the blast killed more seven soldiers and wounded 13 others.
