    Suspected Gangs Kill Somali Businessman in South Africa

    JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (Horn Observer) A Somali businessman, who was burned alive by South African gangs, died after sustaining serious injuries, in Durban of KwaZulu-Natal province in South Africa, witnesses said.

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (Horn Observer) A Somali businessman, who was burned alive by South African gangs, died after sustaining serious injuries, in Durban of KwaZulu-Natal province in South Africa, witnesses said.



The victim identified as Ahmed Jaliil Ali Hussein, who was among the small scale businesses, died on Tuesday after sustaining serious injuries from the burns, witnesses said.

Late Hussein becomes the third Somali national killed in South Africa this month alone. More than 30 Somali nationals were killed in South Africa this year alone.

Two weeks ago, several Somalis were killed in Limbobo area in South Africa and several shops were set on fire, heightening the growing concern of the lack of protection of the Somalis living in South Africa.
