Mogadishu, Somalia (Horn Observer) A Prominent Somali Social and Peace activist has on Tuesday called on the Somali government to hold accountable to its officials on Zope deadly attack that claimed more than 100 innocent people and 350 more wounded.

The Somalia government has been engaged in a military new offensive against al-Shabaab that the United States has described as one of al-Qaida’s deadliest organizations. The president has described it as "total war” against the extremists, who control large parts of central and southern Somalia and have been the target of scores of U.S. airstrikes in recent years.

The government’s top priority of defeating  Alshabaab is milestone step, we support and applause for our Government’s steps to make Somalia better place,  but should prioritize the civilian protection.”  Mr. Ali added noting that "The need of preparedness and preventive measures  to ensure the people’ safety has no exercises”
