MOGADISHU (HORN OBSERVER) - The family of Ikran Tahlil Farah, a female intelligence agent who disappeared without trace late last June has vowed to reject the outcome of investigation assigned to be out carried out by a commission appointed by president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.

In an interview, the mother of Ikran Tahlil Farah, Qali Mohamud Guhad has stated that the family has no confidence in the five-member committee saying she had already filed a case over her daughter's disappearance at the Military Court.

"We are not satisfied and will not accept Farmaajo's latest decree where he appointed a committee to investigate Ikran Tahlil's case," said Ikran's mother Qali Mohamud Guhad. "We only trust the Military Tribunal which has already received our complaint."

Ms. Guhad warned President Farmaajo against undermining the case of Ikran, vowing to sue him.

Renarks of the mother came hours after Farmaajo appointed an inquiry team to investigate the circumstances under which spy agent Ikran Tahlil Farah vanished and died.

The appointed commission will headed by the country's Attorney-General Sulayman Mahmoud as he will be deputised by Hassan Alinur Shoote, the head of SNA court.

The three committee members will be nominated later by the Somali Police Force Commander, the Commander of the Somali National Army and Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) chief.

"I hereby appoint a 5-Member Commission of inquiry Chaired by the Attorney-General and deputized by Head of Military Court to expedite investigations on the case of Ikran Tahlil Farah and to hand over the findings and evidence to responsible legal institutions for the execution of Justice," tne statement reads in part.

Underslining the sensitivity of Ikran's case and the need for thorough investigation, the president directed the team to submit their investigative report to the respective authorities.

The family has long been asking the government to come clean about the case of their daughter's disappearance.

Ms. Ikran was reportedly abducted from home near the headquarters of Somalia’s intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).

According to multiple sources, Ms. Ikran was last seen as she boarded an undemented car from her home.
