MOGADISHU (HORN OBSERVER) - Abdi Muridi Dheere aka Ajakis, a famous Somali comedian whose rib breaking jokes bought laughter to many Somalis has passed on in Somali capital, Mogadishu, Somali governmenta and sources confirmed Monday.
In a statement, the outgoing president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo who confirmed death of Ajakis who extended condolences to family and relatives on the death of Ajakis.


According to sources, Ajakis died at a hospital in Mogadishu where he had been undergoing treatment for a while.


The farces of Ajikis have dominated the airwaves for many years with puting many Somalians their faces smile.

In recent years, Ajakis has been working with London Somali television, Universal TV.

Ajakis was among the pioneers of Al-Faghi company which specialised in dubbing Hindi movies into Somali language. As a result of the dubbing, Indian and Turkish movies became favourite for Somalis for many years.
