Mogadishu, Somalia (Horn Observer) At least two journalists were wounded after a vehicle they were traveling was hit by a landmine blast in central Somalia region of Hiiraan, local media reports. Three soldiers were also killed in the blast..
The landmine blast hit a car carrying journalists and soldiers and were part of convoy carrying the governor of the Hiiraan on and army officials as they were conducting security operations in the Qabno areas of the Mataban district. 

The director of the Hirshabelle administration radio station in the Hiraan region, Khalid Mohamud Osman (Ilkase), and a journalist for Hirshabelle TV, Abdikarin Shabelle, were among those wounded in the blast.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but al Shabaab typically stages such attacks against military targets.

The federal and Hirshabelle regional state security forces have been conducting operations in many locations near Beledweyne town over the last few days.
