Djibouti - The The Minister of Finance for the Federal Government of Somalia Abdirahman Duale Beyle on Wednesday met with Mr. Mikhail Golovanov,Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Somalia in Djibouti , to discuss Somalia Debt relief program, Somalia's SONNA reported.

The meeting focused on ways to exmpt Somalia from Debt relief as Russia is the second the largest creditor to Somalia.

"I met with the Russian Ambassador to Somalia H.E. Mikhail Golovanov to discuss about the debt relief program. " Somali minister of Finance Abdirahman Duale Beyle said as quoted by Somali National News Agency SONNA.

"Russia is the second largest creditor to Somalia, as our meeting focused on ways to exempt Somalia from its debt”. Dr. Beyle added

Somali government said that the debt cancellation plan is in a good position and the Somali Government has gone through every possible route to successfully execute the debt relief plan.
