
Somalia announces new timetable for the National Secondary Examination


Somali ministry of education, culture and higher education established an effective Education Management Information System (EMIS); successfully developed and implemented a unified national curriculum and national exams.
The Ministry hereby announces that the National Secondary Examination across the country will take place on May 27, 2023.
Students, parents, teachers & principals are advised to prepare for the exams in the limited time.

"The Ministry hereby announces that the National Secondary Examination across the country will take place on May 27, 2023.”Ministry of Education, Culture & Higher Education said in a press release, "Students, parents, teachers & principals are advised to prepare for the exams in the limited time.”
" We extend our best wishes to all the Somali students.” The statement added.
The Federal Government introduced standardized national examinations since 2015 and with annual students sitting for the exams exceeding over 30,000.
According to Somali National Bureau of Statistics report 2022, the literacy rate in Somalia is estimated at 37%, with significant disparities between gender and urban and rural areas.
