    Somalia applauds Sudan's warring groups for signing Declaration of Commitment to secure humanitarian aid

    Mogadishu, (Horn Horn observer) Somalia on Saturday applauded the Declaration of Commitment signed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, by the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces that allows humanitarian aid.

Mogadishu, (Horn Horn observer) Somalia on Saturday applauded the Declaration of Commitment signed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, by the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces that allows humanitarian aid.

"This significant agreement aimed at facilitating humanitarian aid and halting military conflict, serves as a pillar of hope for the Sudanese people, " Villa Somalia said, "Somalia underscores the importance of ensuring unimpeded access to humanitarian aid, a crucial element in alleviating the suffering of the vulnerable populations affected by the conflict.



 

According to the United Nations, hundreds of civilians have been killed and thousands injured, including women and children, since the fighting began. The crisis has also resulted in hundreds of thousands of people being forcibly displaced from their homes in search of safety.

Somalia’s federal government calls for an immediate cession of hostilities, emphasizing the urgency of prioritizing the wellbeing of the civilian population. The Somali governmentsaid it stands with solidarity with the people of Sudan, prepared to assist in any way possible to further the pursuit of peace and stability in the region.
