The victims came from Gololey Magacle and surrounding villages of Balad district,which is about 30km Southeast of Mogadishu.
More than 240 patients including children and elderly people were admitted into hospital which is running out of medical supplies.
Dr. Omar Ali, a pediatrician says the number of the diarrhea outbreak cases could be higher if health officials don’t act properly.
WHO report on Cholera outbreak suggested new cholera outbreak was confirmed in Somaliland this year which is a continuation of last year’s cholera outbreak that spread to new districts affected by floods in October 2023.

Bal'ad Somalia (Horn Observer) At least 20 people mostly children have died in diarrhea outbreak in Southern Somalia, health officials reported.
