Mogadishu, Somalia (Horn Observer) Somalia delegation from Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs led by Dr. Mina Hassan Mohamed and accompanied by Yasir Ahmed Abdalla, participated in the Arab High-Level Conference on the Implementation of the Strategy for the Elderly, held in Tripoli, Somali officials reported.

The conference, organized by Libya’s Ministry of Social Affairs in collaboration with the Arab League, brought together ministers, government officials, and experts from across the Arab region.

The event was officially opened by the Minister of Social Affairs, Wafaa Al-Kilani, under the patronage of Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh.

The Somali delegation actively contributed to discussions focused on strengthening social policy frameworks and advancing care systems for older persons.

The conference aimed to enhance social protection systems and improve the quality of life for older populations through coordinated regional policies, shared programs, and the exchange of expertise to address common social and economic challenges.
