The information on the flights had been circulating in Kenya's social media space at a time when the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority had imposed a ban on any flights from Nairobi to Somalia apart from UN humanitarian flights.
In the statement, KQ noted that although there were plans for launching flights to Hargeisa, these were subject to requisite clearance and approval from relevant authorities. Communication is awaited on when the named flights will commence.
