    GAROWE (HORN OBSERVER) - A police officer was killed last night following heated dispute with a colleague on the outskirts of Garowe town of Somalia's northeastern regional state, Puntland.

GAROWE (HORN OBSERVER) - A police officer was killed last night following heated dispute with a colleague on the outskirts of Garowe town of Somalia's northeastern regional state, Puntland.

Speaking to the media, Nugal police commissioner, Mohamed Aden Jama said Botan mohamed Owl who was a officer attached to Puntland Maritime Police Forces was mudered by another officer in Lanta-Hawad locality located east of Garowe town.

According to Jama, the suspected whose names was not disclosed was arrested and will be arraigned in court.

"Officers arrestes the suspected and investigations into the case are underway. Immediately the investigations are concluded, he will be taken to a cour," Jama said.


The murder of the officer comes two days after Puntland presidential guards killed a female driver in Garowe town.

The woman identified as Maryan Ahmed Mohamed was killed after Puntland presidential guards opened fire on a vehicle on the oustkirts of Garowe town,

The driver rwportedly drove into the convoy carrying the Puntland president Saed Abdullahi Deni.


Deni was returning to Garowe town following a day long electoral campaign in Qardho town.
