MOGADISHU, Somalia - Somali militant group Al-Shabab claimed four Kenyan passenger buses at Nyongoro on the Mombasa- Lamu Highway in the Lamu region, the latest attack by the militants in the Kenyan soul.
The group said via local media websites that they targeted four buses in the Lamu region in Kenya and killed four civilians, who the group said were Christians.

Kenyan media reported some passengers have reportedly fled into nearby bushes and gunfire can be heard. Lamu County Commissioner Irungu Macharia confirms 3 people have been killed and whereabouts of the rest of the passengers still unknown.
The militant group Al-Shabab, Somalia’s affiliate to Alqaeda which recently claimed the deadly truck bomb attack in Mogadishu which killed nearly 100 people. The group also continues to pose regional threat and have carried out deadly attacks in neighboring countries.
