    CAPE TOWN (HORN OBSERVER) - Unidentified assailants have killed a Somali traders in Cape town barely two weeks after another national from the horn of African nation murdered in South Africa.

CAPE TOWN (HORN OBSERVER) - Unidentified assailants have killed a Somali traders in Cape town barely two weeks after another national from the horn of African nation murdered in South Africa.

According to multiple sources, Abdinasir Mohamud Abdi who has been involving in business for years in South Africa was shot several times near home in Mitchells Plain of Cape town.

The attackers reportedly fled before the police reached the scene where the victin was murdered.

It is not clear the mitive behind the attack but the police told the media that they launched an investigation into the case of Abdi.

Mid this month, a well known Somali trader and a community leader was killed by South African gangs in SouthAfrica.


Mohamed Ismail Kiish was killed inside his shop in East London in Eastern Cape after the attackers broke into his shop.

For years, South African police have been accused of being complicit in attacks against immigrants, something that prompted many immigrants including Somalis to possess illegal arms in a desperate attempt to defend themselves and their properties against gangs.
