    MOGADISHU (HORN OBSERVER) - Southwest state has today elected seven MPs amidst mortar shells attacks that killed at least one person.

According to the poll agency, the exercise saw the election of two women.

The following persons were elected as MPs today in Barawe:

1. Salim Alihow Ibrow
2. Yusuf Adan Mohamed
3. Maryan Mohamed Ali
4. Hussein Ali Haji
5. Abdullahi Omar Abshir
6. Farhia Mohamed Abdi
7. Abdullahi Hussein Ali
