Ali Abdi Farah, the deputy commissioner for security in the Dayniile district administration, stated that the officers stationed at the camp gate opened fire after the driver of suicide car bomber refused to stop.

"He was told to stop the car, but when he refused, shots were fired at him, and then the car exploded,”

The target of the suicide car biomber was apparently the police-military camp, as announced by the deputy governor.

Eyewitnesses described a speeding motorcycle crashing into the camp’s entrance, where soldiers were stationed at the time, followed by a devastating explosion.

One witness, Mohamed Osman, who was in close proximity to the scene, shared his experience, saying, "I saw a big smoke going up to the sky. Suddenly, I fell to the ground. Thank God I was not hurt.”

This particular military camp had recently received deployments of security forces who had undergone training abroad.

This incident adds to the growing insecurity in Mogadishu, which has been on the rise. Just two weeks prior, another car bomb had targeted a checkpoint in the Dayniile district.
